Ur gurl Sarah is back at it again… Day 4 lets go:) We start the morning having a light breakfast at Hollys (cafe). There, we work on our slides for the GTL workshop for a couple for hours. Halfway through Sheila and Lexi go out to their dentist appointment in Myeongdong. After their appointment, we head out to an arts store called alpha in Namdemun. It was about a 15 min walk from Hollys so we got to see the lively streets of full of tourists and stands selling a variety things, from clothing to bags and food. It was amazing to see the streets packed full of noise and chatter. We wanted to try some of the street foods but because it was a touristy site many of the prices were racked up 😦

We finally arrive at alpha! From your typical paint and art supplies to beakers, flasks, fabric, and more, alpha had it all. There were also kpop themed school supplies that some of us bought as souvenirs for ourselves and friends 😉 It was three floors tall so we were able to find most of the arts and crafts materials we needed. We lost Sheila at one point tho and I was distracted by the sharp pencils at one point too 🙂

We then decided to go to Lotte mart near Seoul station to finish off our shopping for our workshop. It was about a 15 min walk and on our way we came across a political protest against the current administration. The police was there to protect and maintain traffic as the citizens of Korea walk the streets holding big banners. The music playing was lowkey confusing tho, there was intense music playing but towards the back there was like some OST music vibes going on. We also made a short stop to a local bakery store where we got some baked goods. However, before finding that bakery ur gurl bought some mediocre hottdeok wasting her money away…tragic 😦 We finally arrived to Lotte mart and began our search for the remaining materials we needed for the workshop. We decided to leave the shopping cart near the snacks section and split up. Each one of us had an item we needed to search for. Shelia gave us the translation for the items and we went off on our hunt. We regrouped after 30min, bought the items plus some groceries and took the subway back to our airbnb. Tragic Lexi had to carry the pack of water bottles tho. (big brain = big muscles)

We attempted to test some of our experiments for chemistry day but we forgot some materials at the school so we decided to go out for dinner and continue our hunt for materials. We had cheese jjimdak in myeongdong for dinner which was amazing. The dish was full of dumplings, noodles, love and the soul of the chef. We also added some rice to the dish after cleaning out the chicken, dumplings and meat. After a filling dinner, we went back to Daiso for the third time to buy measuring tools and batteries to test some modules we wanted to do before the workshop. (Daiso highkey our best friend now) On our way back to the airbnb we got distracted by the cheap but adorable earrings that were being sold. I ended up buying 7 pairs of earrings (rip my wallet but not really).

After arriving back, Lulu and I were able to test our elephant toothpaste experiment, which was a successful after some confusing calculations. Shelia was able to fix her infrared light camera and she took dope photos of our faces :P. After some experimentation, we ran though Day 4 and 5 slides and called it a day. Update: ur gurl no longer jet-lagged 😀
